Fiberglass Pool Installation Process

Step 1: Prep & Excavation

The first step in creating your pool is deciding where and how to excavate the hole for the pool. Our installers will be provided with the exact measurements of the fiberglass shell and mark where on the ground they’ll need to hollow out in order for your pool to fit perfectly. Depending on utility line placement, as well as weather, terrain, and backyard conditions, the timing of this step may vary.

Step 2: Setting the Base

Once everything has been dug out, we then start placing the material for your pool’s foundation, which will be highly pact gravel. This will give your pool an even and stable surface to rest on.

Step 3: Pool Placement

Next, the fiberglass pool shell and filtration equipment will be delivered via a specialized trailer made for transporting fiberglass shells. Once the shell is delivered to its designated area, it will be lowered into the excavation site by a crane. When in place, all levels are checked to verify proper positioning.

Step 4: Backfilling & Plumbing

After the shell has been placed, the basic plumbing, a skimmer box, end suction and return fittings, as well as PVC piping, will be fitted into place. Once everything is all set in place, our installers begin backfilling, which is the process of locking your pool into place with gravel. Water will flow into the pool during this process to ensure there’s equal pressure and stability on the fiberglass walls. Our installers will also perform a pressure test on the PVC piping for any possible leaks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to build/install a pool?

The time it takes to build or install a pool is determined by several factors, including the size, complexity, weather conditions, and the efficiency of the building process. Our mission is to complete projects on time and with high-quality craftsmanship.

What permits and approvals are necessary for building a swimming pool?

Permits and city authorizations are required for the construction process of any swimming pool to avert penalties and fines from being imposed by the municipality. This is to safeguard you and your community’s safety. We handle the paperwork and permissions so you can enjoy your summer days without having to worry about acquiring permits and gaining signatures from the city.

During the construction of your pool, local inspectors may visit your property to ensure that all necessary standards are satisfied in accordance with city regulations and we will begin construction on your pool as soon as it has been approved. This phase is critical for avoiding fines and ensuring that you are always in compliance.

How much does it cost to build a swimming pool?

In terms of size, extra features, and depth, each pool and project is unique. We understand that building a swimming pool is a significant investment, and we want you to know that we value openness in all of our projects. When it comes to the cost of building your dream pool, you can rest confident that we will work with you closely to understand your budget and design the pool that best suits your objectives as well as your goals.

What Size Pool Should I Build?

Because every backyard is different, there is no definite rule that dictates how big a pool should be. However, it is frequently recommended that a pool take up no more than one-third of your total yard space. If your backyard is 1,800 square feet, for example, you should aim for a pool that is 600 square feet or smaller.
